I am trying to model the chemical kinetics of a simple reaction involving three species using laplace transform. When doing the inverse transform, Mathcad doesn't do anything, it only returns what I want to transform, but in a slightly different form. What is wrong?

The simple answer is that the algorithm did not find a solution, either because there is no solution, or because of random idiosyncracies of the symbolic processor.

Additionally, you are using pure symbols for everything, which means that there can be no simpler representation of the solution, since there is no simple way to extract the roots of the polynomials. If you know what the constants are, you might feed those into the sheet and see if the processor can get a solution.
