Hi there,

I am working on an offshore project, sour crude and gas from the producing platform will be transferred to the onshore plant through a sub-sea pipeline network, theses pipeline need to be internally coated with FBE, one of the major issue which we faced on previous project is the coating failure at the girth welds.
I am wondering if there is a new type of FBE coating system or procedure which can eliminate the coating failure issue at the girth welds.

Regards
Khan

I think you had better share the cause of failure. Possible cause of failure would be as below.

1) Poor coverage of weldment (due to surface irregularities),
2) Erosion issue,
3) Limited design life time for coating (ex., 5 - 10 years generally)
4) Incompatibility & Unsuitable coating against process conditions
