Interestion snap point

Can anybody give tips on using "intersection" in the snap points?

I cannot get it to work. I am never prompted to select two entities, or do I get any other indication of an intersection.
I assume that there is something very simple that I am not doing correctly, but I really don't know what it is.
When I am able to get the old point selection menu to come up I am able to do an intersection point very easy, but this newer way is not being very kind to me.
I am on NX6

Please don't ask what an "Interestion snap point" is (mentioned in this title) . . . I really don't know!

OK, to start with there are TWO different 'Intersection Point' options. The one that appears on the Snap Point toolbar is not the same as the 'Intersection Point' option which you see on the list of 'Types' when creating a point or something.

The primary difference is that when using the Snap Point Toolbar, those options only work as a single selection (there is one exception, but that only shows up in Drafting) so in the case of the 'Intersection Point' the two curves have to ACTUALLY intersect in 3D space and as you move your cursor over the apparent intersection, if they do intersect in 3D space, you will see both curves highlight and a preview of the point will be shown.

However, when using the 'Intersection Point' option from the list of 'Types' when in a dialog, this requires that you select the two curves independently but it also does NOT require that they actually intersect, however the result will only be Associative IF they actually do intersect (you'll get an 'alert' to that effect if a non-associative result is going to be created).

Anyway, I hope that helps explain what you're seeing.
