Hello, my name is Joe.
I have worked at Cal Trans with Unigraphics NX for about a year.
I apologize in advance for the noob question.
I need to do something in Solidworks for my Formula SAE team and cannot for the life of me find out how to link dimensions between parts.
In UGS NX you can easily link expressions and dimensions between parts so you can update one and all the other parts will update with the newly modified dimension in an assembly.
So say I have multiple components with multiple holes all with the same dimension. Is there a way to link all those parts and holes to a single dimension value that I could change, and all the other parts would update with that new value.
The only way I can think of doing it is making a design table for each part and then somehow referencing an assembly design table but I'm sure there is an easier way.
Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.
