installation height of AC unit

what is the limit regarding on the height a AC unit can be installed (Maintenance access by ladder)
is 5 m acceptable?

There is not a standard in OSHA that defines the limits of AC(Air Conditioning?) unit height. You simply must provide adequite protection from falls associated with working at heights.

Usually you need a fence or guardrail around the unit if it is within so many feet of a wall. I think it is 10' in IBC2006
