How does everyone make specific dimension call outs for Vendor to self check. Molded part for example has specific dimension that are critical and we want vendor to randomly measure sample 20 of 20k of parts. That sample would be in the form of an excel spreadsheet with specific dimensions shown.

How do I specify the specific dimensions that vendor knows to call out?

Couple ways I've seen it done are to use the inspection dimension (oval shape) on the dimension itself with a note stating what it means, using a notation (i.e. C/C) next to the critical dimension with a notation stating what it is or to mark "Critical" next to them, only useful on a handful of dimensions.

You mean the oval as opposed to the Basic Rectangle from Ansy Standards 14.5 ???

Yes, there's a radio button in the dimension dialog box that says inspection that puts it around the dimension when you click the radio button.
