Hi All, I am trying to do the element deletion simulation. There are five different parts joined with TIE constraints. I used such a command for each material. Even the generated stress is higher than the material strength, I cannot see the deleted elements during Output view - with STATUS (=1). In status, I see whole my model is showing active eventhough they have reached the maximum stress level.

In this regard, could anyone please let me know where is the mistake...and what should I do to see the element deletion.

The material is defined in the following way!!!! (any mistake is there?)))

*Material, name=Cement
*Density
0.00259,
*Elastic
22000., 0.35
*PLASTIC
22000,0.
22500,1.
*TENSILE FAILURE, ELEMENT DELETION=YES
25000.0
*SHEAR FAILURE, ELEMENT DELETION=YES
1.0

Thanks for any suggestion.

Regards,
