Can anyone advise how to calculate the dimensions of an infiltation trench for water supply based on the information below?
It is proposed to construct an infiltration trench with gravel pack ,
Required yield 5 l/s
River bed materials Very coarse sand
Depth to water table below river bed at end of dry season 1.5 m
Height of river bank above river bed 4.0 m
Infiltration pipe 150 mm slotted plastic pipe.
Depth of pipe below dry season water level 1.0 m
Hydraulic conductivity of gravel for bedding (k) 20 m/d
