indicator immobilization in pdms for pH sensing

i want to immobilize an indicator into a pdms membrane for ph sensing
now the problem is that no water diffuses into the material because of its high hydrophic character
how can i change the pdms material (its allready crosslinked !!!) to make it more hydrophilic ?
