Hi there
I'm running a heat transfer analysis and use the results as predefined field for a subsequent stress analysis. However, when I check the temperature field in the stress analysis it looks very different from what I applied (I attach the pictures for better understanding).
I would expect that in the stress analysis nothing happens at all to the temperature field, can anybody explain why this is not so?
thanks and best regards

If the temperature distribution is different to what you expect then the chances are you've changed the mesh in some way, or have assembled it differently so that nodal values of temperatures have been incorrectly mapped. There's an option so the temperatures are mapped to geometry rather than nodes. Try that.
