We have to supply some valves with inconel 625 internal cladding. These items must be supplied according to ISO 15156.

As we need to qualify the welding procedure according to ASME IX and ISO 15156, we need to understand if we have to perform any corrosion test on the specimens. Is this somewhere specified by ASME IX or ISO 15156 ?

In case any corrosion test is required, which standard has to be applied ? (ASTM G48, ASTM A262)

A corrosion test is not specified by ASME IX and the only reason you may have to consider a corrosion test for ISO 15156 is if you fail to meet the specified composition of the N06625 welding consumable at some specified depth in the overlay and the end user doesn't like it. At which point, the end user may demand an SSC test as detailed in ISO 15156-3, subclause B.3 and EFC Publication 17 - usually a 4 point bend test.
