Hello
Instead of a rigid bolt, I want to use a connector. I've tried both a HINGE and a PIN connector with bad results.
This is my setup:
With this bolt, when I pull the hinges from each other, I get good results.
With a HINGE or a PIN connector to connect the holes of the hinges, the results do not look the same. I get stresses at the wrong side of the hole surfaces.
The forces are not distributed the same way as through the contact between the hinges and the rigid bolt.
Is there a way to use connectors to get the same results as when I use a rigid bolt?
Thank you very much. I am new to connectors and this has frustrated me a couple of days!
