Dear All,
I have a question regarding importing material orientations. I perform analysis in two steps:
1) In the first step, boundary conditions are applied and the model is deformed.
2) After the first step I import the part into a new code (along the with the stress state), impose a TIE constraint and let the system equilibrate.
During the first step, the orientations (local crystal orientaiton because I have anisotropic elasticity) change for each element. Is there a way to import the material orienations for each element along with the part from the odb file of the first step to the input file of the second step??
Note: I did try using python outputting material orientations from the odb file (from the first step) into a file and then assigning each element the local orientation in the second step. However, this takes a very long time and I am not able to even write the input file for large number of elements.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks!
