If I know the dimensions of the motor and the normal static or dynamic loads how should I rate my bearings to withstand impact forces (Being dropped)? I've tried attaching an accelerometer to the motor and getting the average acceleration from that to get the average load forces on the bearings. Is this a proper way to find these loads? If so should I rate my bearings to withstand that force as a static load?
