I'm working on a project that will capture images from a satellite in low earth orbit. There is no control of the attitude, so at any time the camera could be pointed toward the sun, toward the earth, toward space, etc.

-In general what are the effects of orbit position and attitude on imaging quality and lighting conditions in space?

-Are there any techniques that can be used to ensure that the satellite returns quality images given the many possible lighting conditions?

Thanks,
-SM

If you are not going to control the satellite, just let the camera to auto. Then post process the images to clean them up.
