Hi guys...
I did some searching on the subject but no luck. What I have is an IGES file that imports as a wireframe 3d sketch. Is there a way to create a solid of this? The part is a plate with tons of features on it, holes, c'bores, c'sinks and pockets, so I'm trying not to redraw it from scratch.

Thanks,
Ken

Have you gone into the options tab before import? Did you check Surface/solid entities with try to solids checked?

Is the IGES file being exported from the original CAD software as "wireframe", "Trimmed Surface", or "B-Rep Solid"?

I would suggest first what rfus says: Then

If you just have surfaces you will have to knit them to a water tight surface model and then you can thinken it to a model... if its not water tight then you will have to make surfaces with the sketches or add new ones to make the model water tight, then to solid.

If its just sketches then you will have to to the above, but first use the sketches to make surfaces until you get a water tight model.

Use Tools\Check to check your model for open surfaces and other problems.

Translated files like these take some time and work to make them into a model.
