I'm not practical with SolidWorks but I need an IGES file from Solidworks to import into ABAQUS. The component is made of 2 extruded part (which in the iges appear as solid) and several pipes (which they appear has inner and outer faces but no solid). The pipes were generated but their axis with a certain diameter and thickness.

Is there a way to create a whole solid instead of a mix of solid and surfaces?

Thank you

Turn your surfaces into a solid. I do this all the time. You have to use the Surfacing tools in SW to get the surfaces to a single knitted surface. That is what I consider a surface that would hold water. If it can hold water, then you can create a solid from it.

Once you get it all over to solids, then you can export it out.
