Hi
I am using Ansys v11 SP1 on windows xp. I have two results file which I want to combine together. The first results file is over a time frame of 0 to 20 microseconds. The second is over a time frame of 20 to 40 microseconds. I wish to combine these two results files into one, and have the complete results file over a time frame of 0 to 40 microseconds.
Can anyone advise?

Regards
V

Hello,

take a look at the LC** commands in the "Table 2.100 Load Case Calculations" in the Ansys help.

Vinny,
The best way to do this is to rerun the analysis so that everything is in the file if it doesn't take an absurd amount of time to finish. If you want to give it a stab you might be able to read over results file formating in the "Guide to Interfacing With Ansys" on the customer portal website. You may be able to combine the two files the hard way via text editor. This is risky business though and far from a preferred method.

Hi,
I think Stringmaker's suggestion should really be considered as your "last chance". It is EXTREMELY risky.
As Mihaiupb says, look at the LC*** commands and also RAPPND command. I'm about sure that in particular this last command will be useful.
