very simple, your mechanica is not installed or you have not configured it to integrate mechanica with proe.

Israr

Israr is right, looking at the right Icon toolbar it seems to me you are in FEM-mode. Most people who install MECHANICA forget to place a checkmark for "product interoperability" during the Pro/Engineer setup. This checkmark triggers a additional window during installation where the administrator can tell Pro/E the installation path of Pro/MECHANICA (and Intralink). If MECHANICA (or Thermal and Structural Simulation as it is now called) is installed and a license is available you should be able to enter the MECHANICA application (with a active part or assy)without a checkmark for FEM mode (you now probably cannot remove that checkmark!). Just run PTCsetup.exe in the PRO/Engineer \bin directory and correct this setting.
