Thanks for your response. I am manufacturing 4 truck chassis to carry empty intermodal tank containers from one point to another in our yard ( not for street use ). The containers are 8' wide, 20' long & weigh around 8,500lbs. The over all lignth of the chassis is 27'W/5th wheel. The container sits on the chassis only 10" off of the ground.the axel must be located right at the rear of the frame so when the 5th whee picks it up it won`t be dragind on the ground. I need 4" clearance leaving me only room for 6" tall I beam or rectangular tube to carry the load. All joints are welded.
