Hi,

I need to find a hydrologist in the Southern California area to work as an expert witness consultant on a large water pipe failure. The main issues to cover are standard pressure test methods for pipe systems and flange assembly design issues. Any tips, suggestions or leads for experts in the local area would be appreciated. Thanks,

Phil

You don't need a Hydrologist. You need either a Mechanical Engineer, a Srructural Engineer or a Civil Engineer each with extensive experience in pipeline design and analysis. Hydrologists are not licensed in CA, as far as I know. You might try polling SEAC ( Srructural Engineers of California ) members.

Good Luck

Flange design itself would fall more in the mechanical/ pressure vessel arena. You might look up the personnel of some of the ASME B&PV committees that deal with the topic and see if any are in your area.
