Can anyone please tell me the formula for calculating the following:-
We have a 10.5 Km 12" Size LPG Cross Country pipeline .Material of Construction is API5LGRB. The Pipelineis 7.9 mm thick. I would like to carry out Hydrotest the above pipeline to a pressure of 25.0Kg/Sq.cm. Kindly advise the time taken and the probable capacity ofthe hydrotest pump. Alternatively , kindly tell me the time taken with a pump of capacity 10 Litres /min .Prior to pressurising , I have already filled the entire pipeline, full of water to a pressure of 14.0 Kg/Sq.Cm using some other centrifugal pumps. From here i will have to raise the pressure to 25.0 Kg/Sq.cm. Kindly advise the formula.
