In an hydrostatic transmission, when the pump is in neutral position, is the transmission free to run if we turn the motor, like when when push the vehicule?

Better check with your manufacturer. Some zero the pump, some zero the motor, some do both.

The motor is not free to turn since flow to or from the pump is stopped. However, the motor has internal leakage or bypass and can turn slowly from external forces when in neutral. If the motor has over running loads and must be locked in neutral a spring set, hydraulically released brake is usually applied. Bud Trinkel
