Can anyone point me in the right direction for finding information regarding a "hydrophilic refractometer test"

Assuming from your tagline that you are fmailiar with API codes & possibly NDE techniques, try a review method D of penetrant removal.

There is some info about Method D at
Hydrophilic emulsifiers are also called removers.

Refractometers measure concentration of hydrophilic emulsifiers/removers in water.

May this info lead you to the answer which you seek...

leanne,

Thanks for the input but I am more interested in the refractometer testing portion and the possible correlation to beer's law. My curiosity was peaked out during the ASNT Level III PT exam and I was trying to satisfy my need for "more input" as was johnny #5.
