hydrophilic material

hey ,
i want to make hydrophilic material from nr or epdm or chloroprene.
i am trying to find supplier who give me fine particles of powder(used in baby diper).
i tried mix big particles of that powder but it didn't work.
hydrophilic cure rubber ,as soon as you put in water it will start swell in within 24 hrs volume swell need more than 100%
can one knows anything?

Hello,
you supplier may be correct. I have seen exactly swelling rubber with the same product.
Have you checked the hardness or cure?
It may be too tough for having the desired swell.
Sponge form would work better...
