Hello folks

Not a Chemical Engineer and very far from it, Forgive me but I found this on E-bay and am somewhat curious any comments are appreciated. My question does this thing have any potential?

Thanks, Chuck

Heh heh... read the first few lines of text and you don't even have to look at the piece of kit... When will Ebay ever refuse this kind of nonsense and become a somewhat more serious and reliable place to buy things?

Ebay.....maybe never! Just another good reason to spend one's money elsewhere.

Hello and Thanks again

I think if someone with your knowledge would correspond with Ebay powers that be, your eloquent way of explaining things most likely would put an end to this type of business, but then why spend a good education policing Ebay.

I checked his customer comments and it looks like a lot of folks were taken. I did send him a not so nice message [curse]and of coarse received an equivalent response. But I feel better now!

I triped over his ad looking for function generators.

Something of this sort was part of a "Mythbusters" episode and it performed just as we educated folk would expect these sorts of things to. The did get a carbureted (sp?) engine to run very briefly on pure hydrogen from a tank, supplied directly to the carburetor via a hand-held hose. A small explosion and fire soon after ended that experiment!

I like the eBay seller's chemistry:

"Water = H2O = 2H2 + O2 (diatomic)"

Burn the 2H2 + O2, condense the product & convert it
2H20 --> 4H2 + 2 O2 --> 4H2O
4H2O --> 8H2 + 4 O2 --> 8H2O
8H2O --> 16 H2 + 8 O2 ad infinitum.
.....
Solves both energy & water shortage!!!!
