Hydrocarbon and water dew Point in Hysys

Hello

I am trying to understand some Hysys results from my Hysys Gas Properties extension which calculates Hydrocarbon and water dew point.

My gas is in the dense phase according to the phase envelope produced by Hysys(operating pressure greater than circondenbar) and for this I would not expect a HC dew point to be found. This fits when there is no water in the gas - gas properties extension says cannot calculate - that is OK...I understand.

However, When we have water in the gas, and still in the dense phase (according to the Hysys phase envelope)... Hysys gas properties extension WILL report a water AND hydrocarbon dew point.

My question is....why does phase envelope indicate dense phase (no dew point expected at that pressure) but one will still be calculated. I need to understand the impact of the water I guess.

Hope someone can help - I need to understand how Hysys is working here so I can use it properly!

Many Thanks.
