hi all!

I have been searching for AGES for information on the principles of design of hydraulic lifts such as man lifts, etc. So far all i found was on howstuffworks.com, but i need more in-depth information...

can anyone suggest ANYTHING, such as a website, where the information is available?

the field is quite new to me and i need as much information as possible...[sadeyes]

Thank you kindly![wink]

Never kept track of websites on the topic, but there are several magazines about industrial equipment in circulation. Try a library.

When you are talking man lifts, the web ain't the place. Are you repairing or designing. If designing you will have a fair amount of work in researching the various engineering/safety regulations. If repairing, use manufacture recommended components. Do you require certificaton?. The minimum is 'anit fall' valves.
