Hello everyone,

Is there any standard which establishes the minimim thickness of chromium plating on the steel rods of hydraulic cylinder? We are making a machine to be installed on sea side with supposed life of 25 years. The hydraulic cylinder rods commercially available are with 20 microns of chromium plating, someone told me that you should consider 1 micorn per year, so 20 is less in this case. But I dont find any references of standard or literature.
