HRSG HMBD and other Commissioning Documents 1

We have 12 Nos 450T/h Doosan HRSGs installed at 2700 MW capacity CCGT.

After commissioning, EPC have not provided us any HMBD documents for HRSG.

We have found multiple erection defects in our HRSGs, and with the help of HMBD i want to prove that these erection defects (bypasses, insulation failures, etc) are impacting the performance.

I can ask for HMBD documents from EPC. I just want to know is there something else which should have been handed over to us as commissioning document for HRSG?

What is the standard set of handover documents that are supposed to be handed over to Operator by EPC on HRSGs?

Also is there any standard or code (ASME or other) which relates to HRSG construction defects?

Now that you've posted in a public forum that you've found multiple defects in a product from company X, how likely is it that company X will provide you with any documentation to help you show that the defects are their fault?

Manufacturers are generally only required to provide you with what you tell them in your purchase specification. Go pull that purchase specification and see what you were supposed to get, documentation wise.

I live in the world of HRSG's (and lived there before that FLA (four letter acronym) was coined), and have worked for and with EPC's in many CCGT plants, so I was doing fine until he got to the FLA of HMBD. For that one you had the most extensive list. None that you listed fit the scenario of HRSG's, EPC's, or CCGT plants. Can you list some more?

To the OP, did the EPC give any record of NCR's.
