we have an old hp4mv printer. we currently have probably about 10,000 plot files written to it. in a few years when this printer craps out are we screwed to the point of sitting down and re plot filing all of these drawings one by one? has anyone been through a similar situation?

regards,

JM

for a follow up question... are there any sites out there that have documentation that will tell me what if any new printers out there will be compatible with our current files?

regards,

JM

I am not sure but we have used a program called PlotWorks which processes PLT, DWG, DXF, TIF, HPP, and a few others. It can print to various printer types. FYI
