How would one find the stresses at two points under an eccentric load?

For a vertical hollow square column. What formulas?

Look in AISC ASD, under the "Combined Loading" chapter. But the bottom line is that although the total stress is axial stress + bending stress, the stress is not the limiting factor -- buckling is, and tou can buckle a column even when the stresses are extremely low.

in any strength of materials text (or probably even wiki), look up secant formula for eccentrically loaded columns ... really, IMHO, you should do these basic searches before you ask for help.
