how to use files of catia v4 in catia v5

I experienced difficulties when I had to manipulate in a product in catia v5 formed of catia v4 sub-products (imported in catia v5)different elements which I needed to be repositioned with precision, I mean using constraints in the assembly module.
Can anyone help with some advice?

Well, I think first you have to do is get only one model file in v4 and after pass to v5 as catpart. You will get the precission you need.
