I am using Wildfire4 student edition. There are times when I want to draw something freehand but the snaps pull the line to a possible constraint or line or reference. Is there a way to temporarily turn off all the snaps so I can place the vertex of whatever I am drawing where I want it?

Thanks
Rick

Are you using a sketcher grid? You can turn that off in sketch\options. You can also turn off snap to grid in tools\environment. I never use a grid or any snapping so I'm not sure how those work exactly. I only snap to references that I have set up before I sketch. Also remember that it's not necessary or even desirable to exactly sketch what you want. Sketch things exaggerated and then use the dimensioning scheme to make it precise.

Holding down the Shift key while making entities disables constraints and snaps within sketcher.
