how to stop a curve?

hi to all,

when I enter a coordinate (x or/and y) as function of a parameter t by a equation, the parameter t will vary from 0 to 1. Is it possible to stop the coordinate x for a determinated value of t? For example when I draw the profile of a tooth (for a gear) by a involute curve, I would like that the curve stops at the outside circle. How can I do this?

are you asking whether you can vary the range of x? are you setting x=t? if you are, you can just multiply t by the range you want it to include.

After you create your curve with an equation, try splitting the curve (Curve > Split) at the desired location. Then you can pick which part of the curve you want to keep, or you can keep them both (now acts like two curves).



You can split a curve at a datum point, datum curve, datum plane, or surface.
