HOW TO SHOW A KNURL

Does anyone have any ideas on how to show a knurled dia.? I tried creating a clockwise helix, placing a triangular profile on the helix (pierce)and swept cut, then a counterclockwise helix with the same profile, and it didn't work.Any ideas?
