How do you guys usually model the couplind beams in ETABS, by using shell element or beam element?
Any comments will be thankful.

I model coupling beam as shell element and assign them a spendral label. Later design that spendral by using Section designer in Shear wall design section. Using beam instead of shell element also works fine. the only reason i model them as shell is to consider that section while checking section for shear.
