Dear Friends:

I want to make a symbol of weld that the fillet triangle attach with the fillet symbol (triangle ). help me.

Regards:

Why do you want create your own symbol for fillet welding? Pro E has a built in library of weld symbols. Locate the folder in which Pro E is loaded. In that folder locate a subfolder called Symbols. Pro E has weld symbols conforming to both ANSI and ISO standards.

Hi Friend Anand;

You are telling very true but I want to put fillet triangle in fillet position ( filled fillet triangle, at the point of welding). and on slant edge if triangle arrow has to be attached. I am able to create the filled triangle but as I attach the fillet weld ISO or ANSI symbol it is attached on corner of edge not on slant side of triangle (because it is also a part of symbol, offcourse it is different). But I wantto make symbol like this in mydrawing.

Hi Ashok,

Please see the snapshot below showing weld symbols created in two different manners.

The symbol on theright is created by Show/Erase method and the other symbol is created using user defined symbols. In both the cases, the arrow head is attached to the Hypotenuse of the fillet Triangle. I am also attaching the weld symbol I have used for your reference.

One more thing; if you are strictly following any of the International standards for creating welding drawings, there is no need to show any filled areas for showing the weld joint. Only a valid weld symbol pointing towards the weld joint is sufficient.

Regards,

Anand
