How to link "Start" & "Finish" dates to other tasks,with duration open? e.g. the Start date is linked to task A, and Finish date is linked to task B. When task A changes, the the start date changes together, while finish date remains the same. Then the duration adjusts dynamically by itself.

Why not just use a rollup?

could you explain a bit more on the roll-up concept?

A rollup task is one that has subordinate tasks, so its duration starts at the start of the earliest task, and ends at the end of the slowest task. You basically "indent" the subtasks below a particular task line.

FAQ731-376

Hello All;

I have numerous projects in a master schedule. There is a pool of resources used throughout with level of effort associated. Could someone help me with a formula to show how many hours are associated with each resource by project?

a. Please start your own thread next time. By hijacking someone's thread, you sow confusion to future readers and responders.

b. There should already be a Resource Usage or somesuch that tabulates that information
