How to get usage statistics?

We have a single seat operating on a network license.
Is there a way we can get usge statistics on our solidworks seat?
I know there is alog file but docs say this can't be used for this purpose. (Although I don't know why not)
Has anyone written anything to analyse this log?

The only LOG file Ive seen is the ".swj" file, which is basically only a macro recorder file.
