How to Get Rid of Rendering Reflections

Hi! I'm currently working on making realistic renderings of some parts I have made. The main panel of the assembly is Polished Aluminum and the bracing is Matte Aluminum. The Polished Aluminum reflects the Matte Aluminum and it creates this dark brace as if the part was transparent. A picture of this is attached. is there anyway of getting rid of this besides getting rid of the reflectivity?
