joint between precast wall in low rise building connected with steel plate . it mean that joint between wall will not resist shear force by concrete and cannot resist bending moment too. it carry only vertical load to lower wall. But in high rise building I fully assign as shear wall and design joint to pour non shrink later and use rebar to connect them. So there is no problem but if I do not connected this way
I have to release shear wall resist by concrete by make small strip but I do not know how to change wall stiffness property.
how to model this wall in Etabs. Etabs does not have feature to modify stiffness in wall for shear( v12 v23). I will put steel at joint to carry shear in stead of concrete
in other way can any one explain how to use link property in this case.
