Is it possible to add text symbol to the text symbol palette?

You can add symbols with alt keys based on certain fonts

THE FOLLOWING ARE SYMBOLS FOR UNICODE THAT CAN BE ENTERED FOR TYPING WORDS IN THIS FORUM IN ORDER TO SHOW A PI SYMBOL JUST HOLE ALT AND TYPE A NUMBER IN AND RELEASE ALT AND THE SYMBOL IS ENTERED IN GO AHEAD AND TRY TYPING Alt+167 AND YOU'LL GET THE DEGREE SYMBOL

Most of those don't work in Pro.They show up in the text editor, but when you click OK to get back to Pro,most of them change to something else or dissappear.
