how to compress a spring in asm??

my helical spring free length is about 37mm.
but i need to compress it for 27mm in assembly.

Help me out..pls
 
U need to use flexibility in assembly.
right click on spring part from asm> Make flexible...select part from window> select length dim.(37mm in ur case)> update new values (27mm)
 
Depending on how your spring is made you will get different results... if its made with helical sweep and a constant pitch, you will end up with the wrong numbers of coils, but that might not be that important if it
