Hi all, I need some help yet again. How does one calculate
1.the volume or gravel / slurry required to fill the hole in a gravel pack

2.the volume of brine required to complete the well

3.volume of base oil needed

1.- I am unsure of waht your scenario is.
2.- Dedpends on the downhole geology, hole size, etc..
3.- For the drilling fluid? depends on size of hole, estimated losses, etc.... basically, experience in the area

lets say a 300ft, 9.5" hole, OHGP with 40/60 propant, CaCl2 11.6ppg brine.

Just want to know how to calculate the basic volume of gravel to fill the hole minus screens. I know this has to be a very easy basic calculation but for the life of me I don't know what to do. I'm new to this, drilling is my thing.
