Need help with this project. We are proposing to use a solid pour system for a security fence in a subdivision. Forms are 9 feet tall, wall thickness is 6 inches, 3000 psi pump mix concrete, 150 #/cf concrete, 140 mph wind load.

Need to design a continuous, steel reinforced concrete footer.

I have not done any structural calcs in several years.

Thanks.

To properly design your wall foundation - the designer would have to know:

1. The applicable code
2. The exposure coefficient for the site (to go along with your wind speed - which seems very high by the way...are you in a hurricane zone?
3. The underlying soil conditions - in other words, how much bearing pressure can the soil take - this sets the footing width.
4. The depth of footing required to get below frost - if that is desired or necessary in your area.
5. The weight of any other brick or surface treatments on your 6" concrete.

In other words, you need someone to properly engineer the wall - difficult to do on a forum site - and depending on where you are located - probably needs an engineer to seal/certify the design.
