how to apply bolt pretension in body

Hi

I imported a bolt geometry to apply a bolt pretension. I merge the cells with virtual topology of the bolts but still I'm unable to select the portion of the bolt to apply bolt pretension.


please help. I'm new to ansys WB.

Hi,

Could you send a picture about your problem? In Ansys WB you can give bolt pretension to only cylindrical feature and line bodies. Could you check that if your bolt geometry is cylindrical or not.
