Thanks to try to help me. But it doesn't work. I tried to "overlay" the old image with the color white, which you find in the menu, the mess is now much bigger. Have you another Idea? thx

Do like Didier suggested except that when you select the 'decal' in the 'Material in Part' Resource Bar tab, simply press MB3 and select 'Delete'. That being said, Didier's suggestion should have worked as well. Can you download the part file?

Hi Bogdan

Have a look at the attached jpeg to find the delete and edit buttons. It works well on your part with NX8.5

Per my and Didier's explanations, I had NO problem whatsoever deleting the 'decals' from your model using NX 8.0.3.4.

Thanks for your work for me. It doesn't work because I have no "materials in part" (NX 8.0) and no "Edit Decal". My Button to remove assigned materials is foggy, means not selectable. Attached you will find my menu as jpg.
Normally I solved all problems in some minute but I seat here since hours and think it's a hard nut.

Is there another way? Thx again.

You're not using the correct Materials pulldown.

View -> Visualization -> Materials/Textures. Once you click that command, the Materials In Part palette will become visible.

No reaction, because it is not a material, these are 2 layers of images on a surface with decal. And I cannot erased this.

You want to know how to remove a decal and so far, three different users have done this without a problem. Watch the movie I've attached (14MB). I'm using the SAME part you posted, so there isn't any dispute about whether or not a material is there. This is how you get rid of the annoying white you're talking about, simple as that.

If you cannot do these steps, then turn OFF Studio Display and just use Shaded mode for your display and the white area will disappear.

Do you have the appropriate NX license to do such an operation per the above individuals has suggested? You may want to look into changing your license bundle, so you have the proper license to get access to the above comments.

Technically you do NOT actually need a 'Visualize Studio' license to apply or remove (delete) a 'decal', however, you'll never be able to see the decal unless you have a 'Visualize Studio' license and you've enabled one of the visualization display modes.

At this point I can see absolutely no reason why the OP can't open this file and delete his decals.

Cool thanks for clearing that up. I was trying to think of ways the OP was maybe missing something.

Thank you very much to All and especially to Xwheelguy. The Video brought the solution.

Here was my mistake: When I opened the Vis... Material/Texture only the upper menu shows up - but for a nanosecond - the bigger menu as well (Materials to part) After I tried again and again I figured out it is hidden in the left frame Colum fare below the tree window. It was the last button. You have to scroll with the arrows totally down to the button with the green cuboid and the sphere, connected with 2 black perpendicular lines. When you click this with the right Mouse button the words "un-dog" shows up. I clicked it, deleted the decal and I went to the fridge and drunk a beer in 10 seconds. The fight lasts almost 2 days long.

Thanks again to all!!! From Bogdan
