How does this connection work?

Hello,

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how these beams, columns, are connected to each other.

The steel column is a W14 x 370
The continuous beam on top is a W30x99
How are those two connected? The W14 intersects the W30! And what happens at the last connection? Where does the W30x99 end? Before the two tapered beams merge? If so, that's not a continuous beam?

Then the tapered, W30 x 211 merges/dies/into the W14-W30 connection.

I understand if the continuous W30x99 was ON TOP of the W14x370 OR if it was a discontinuous beam from which the tapered W30x211 connects to.
I understand how the tapered beam connects to the flange or web of the W14x370.

But I do not understand how they three of them connect like they do in the image. I've spoken to the student assistant for ... assistance, and he says that yes it's possible.
Can someone please explain to me HOW it's possible? The continuous beam and column connection are throwing me for a loop.

That looks like a connection which hasn't been detailed yet - it's just been modelled as 3D members with their centre-lines meeting at a theoretical node point. The Structural Engineer will need to work out how to connect the members, taking into account the Architect's design intentions, fabrication and construction methodology, etc.

If it was me, I'd probably look at a welded fabricated joint of the two tapering members, complete with a simple base-plate connection to the top of the column, and a gusset plate or end plate to receive the big prismatic beam, which would be bolted in last of all. (But there's always more than one way to skin a cat.)
