I would like to test some sample vb api examples that Creo provides. What would be the procedure to run them? Also is there a way to add them to customize the menuscript to run them as a pre or post action?

I do not know the answer, but some of your terminology leads me to think you have used NX in the past.
This would be possible in NX "customize the menuscript to run them as a pre or post action".

Almost no one uses the VB-API for Creo as it is painful and essentially unsupported. CREOSON has a better chance; I have used AutoIt with a few mapkey helpers but many companies hate using other software and can fire people for doing so. I have also used Excel VBA to create mapkeys on the fly that I load and run.
